What will I learn?
By obtaining a North Carolina Medicare Supplement/Long-Term Care insurance license, a health insurance professional is authorized to
evaluate and provide coverage to individuals through a variety of Medicare supplement and long-term care insurance policies offered by
private insurers. A licensed Medicare Supplement/Long-Term Care insurance agent must also have a basic understanding of the federal Medicare
program and Medicaid, which is administered by the state.
To become licensed as a NC Medicare Supplement/Long-Term Care producer, you will need to demonstrate entry-level knowledge of the industry
by passing a state licensing exam. This course will deliver the content needed to successfully complete the education and examination requirements.
Testable topics include:
Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, Medicare supplement policies, Medicaid, Medicare-Aid, Long-term Care policies and LTC Partnership plans.
This course also includes NC state-specific regulations.
