Maine Enacts NAIC Model Annuity Suitability Training Requirement

May 28, 2015:  A.D. Banker & Company announces the approval of their 4 Hour Annuity Suitability Self-study, Online, and Webinar CE courses in the state of Maine!  

Maine's newly adopted ammendment to 2007 legislation establishes November 1, 2015 as the effective date, on or after which date, newly licensed producers must complete a one-time, 4-hour training course covering the NAIC Model Act's recommended product curriculum.   Producer's currently licensed will have 6 months from November 1, 2015 to complete the required training--due no later than May 1, 2016, in order to continue transacting annuity business.

Producers who have completed a "substantially similar" 4-hour Annuity Training course in another state will be considered compliant in Maine.  (Check with carriers to verify)
