New Mexico Changes Continuing Education Requirments

Resident Producers and Adjusters in New Mexico are now required to complete 24 hours of insurance CE per 2-year renewal cycle, ending on the last day of the birth month of the licensee.

  • 3 hours must be completed in a live classroom, or via a live webinar
  • 3 hours must in Ethics
  • 3 hours of flood training is now required of all Producers and Adjusters who work in the flood insurance market due no later than February 27, 2019
  • 8 hours of initial LTCP training are now required of all Producers working with long-term care insurance products, due no later than February 27, 2019
  • 4 hours of additional training in long-term care are required each renewal thereafter
